The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
